What is flamefix ?
A flame retardant specifically designed for fabric which is to be
used in a public space. Completely safe ,Flamefix is a water based
chemical,which when applied to the surface of fabric using TCP's
unique treatment process provides fire retardation without adversely
affecting the fabric's performance.
What fabrics can it be used on ?
Flamefix has been successfully used to treat most fabrics including;Cotton,wool,cotton/polyester
,Nylon,Poly-propylene,polyester and Back coated Fabrics.
Will it burn ?
There is a popular misconception that flame Fabrics should'nt burn.
Treated fabrics will still Burn however they do so in a controlled
manner.Flame retarding is designed to affect factors including the
amount of smoke & toxic gas produced. These factors can only
be measured by the Australian Standards procedure.
Does FLAMEFIX need special care?
FLAMEFIX once applied "binds" to the fabric's Fibres ,lasting for the life of that fabric .Treated fabrics can be washed and/or dry cleaned up to five times in in accordance with AS2001.5.4 Procedure 7Aof the Building Code of Australia
Flamefix meets safety requirements
All fabrics treated by us with FLAMEFIX are issued
with a Certificate of Compliance(Australian Standard
AS1530 Parts 2 & 3) as required by the Building
Code of Australia.
